Excellence ∙ Innovation ∙ Whole Person Education
The theme of the 55th Anniversary, “Excellence ∙ Innovation ∙ Whole Person Education”, highlights the tradition and distinctive mission of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) – its unwavering pursuit to achieve excellence through teaching and innovative research, its dedication to uphold Whole Person Education and its unremitting efforts to serve the community.

In its 55 years of dynamic development, HKBU has consistently been a pioneer in developing Hong Kong's higher education, with a long list of firsts to its credit. Thanks to the concerted efforts of our students, teachers, staff, alumni and friends, the University has maintained its outstanding ability to develop creative ideas and innovative practices that have underpinned the University's development.

To achieve our goals, HKBU strives to become a byword in the higher education sector for creativity, which we believe is essential not only in academic disciplines but in all spheres of development within and outside the campus.

Looking ahead, we will continue to work hard towards realizing our vision of becoming the best provider in the region of Whole Person Education.

Designed by Mr Samson Ng,
HKBU colleague, winner of
the 55th Anniversary Logo Design Competition

The logo is composed of two 5's to symbolise the 55th Anniversary. The arrows growing from the two numbers suggest that HKBU is making quality progress and will continue to do so in coming years. The design has adopted the approach of minimalism; colours used are the two official colours of the HKBU emblem. Besides, the two colours form a gradient of ring to embrace the words "55 years" suggesting more years of excellence, innovation and whole person education.
